Food trucks: routes, till and onboard stock

A food truck operator often plans the week on a handwritten note and loses track of public domain permits as the months go by. This application brings together route planning, permit tracking and, in the full edition, the till and onboard stock of each vehicle.

Who the application is for

For food truck and mobile catering operators, whether running one vehicle or several vehicles and locations, who want to plan their routes, track their permits and, in the full edition, know the turnover of each location.

What the application does

  • Plans a weekly route per vehicle with its stops, shown on a colour-coded calendar view.
  • Refuses to assign the same vehicle to two stops whose time slots overlap, across every route.
  • Keeps the history of each location's public domain occupation permits, with their validity period and fee.
  • Sends an internal reminder, without duplicating it, when a permit is approaching its deadline or a location has no route planned.
  • Links, in the full edition, the till session opened on the vehicle to the stop where it takes place.
  • Calculates, in the full edition, turnover before tax and the average basket by stop, route and location, and watches an onboard stock alert threshold per item.

Day to day

  1. Create the location, its usual hours and the related occupation permit, to be activated once it is obtained.
  2. Plan the week's route per vehicle, adding its stops: saving is refused if there is an overlap.
  3. On a vehicle linked to a point of sale, choose the stop where the open till session is taking place.
  4. Check the dashboard for the month's turnover, the average basket, the month's top-performing location and items running low on onboard stock.
  5. Print as needed the route schedule, a location summary or the end-of-service till statement for a stop.

What the application does not do

  • It does not apply for the French public domain occupation permit with the town hall (mairie): it is a tracking record, not an online administrative procedure.
  • It is neither a food hygiene compliance tool nor a mobile trading registration with the relevant authority.
  • It does not take online orders and does not track the cold chain.
  • It offers no route optimisation and no real-time geolocation.

Free and full editions

The free edition covers vehicles, locations, permits with their deadlines and route planning without double-booking, without installing a till or stock tracking. The full edition installs on top without asking anything again, and adds the till-to-stop link, turnover and average basket by stop, route and location, onboard stock tracking, the dashboard and the PDF exports.

Getting started

Link each vehicle to its existing record and, for the full edition, to its usual point of sale; declare your locations with their permits to be checked with your local authority, then set the automatic reminder timings to match your own pace.
