Selling on Amazon while managing orders elsewhere means re-typing every sale, tracking stock on two screens, and hoping the prices shown are the right ones. Over time, the risk of mismatch grows: a listing left with an outdated price, stock that no longer reflects what is actually on the shelf. This application links your own system to your Amazon seller account, in both directions.
Who the application is for
For sellers who run an Amazon shop while managing their orders, stock and invoicing in their own system, and who want to avoid double entry between the two.
What the application does
- Imports Amazon orders with the customer, the delivery address, lines matched by seller reference, and shipping costs on a separate line.
- Confirms the shipment on Amazon as soon as a delivery is validated with a tracking number.
- Pushes the available quantity to the listings of products marked for synchronisation.
- Pushes the price from the chosen price list to those same listings.
- Keeps a synchronisation log: account, marketplace, number of items, duration, status and error message.
- Covers several seller accounts and several marketplaces, with the ten European marketplaces already set up and ready to use.
- Retries an order whose import has failed, up to five times, before clearly flagging it as an error rather than losing it.
Day to day
- Create the seller account, enter your Amazon Seller Central access credentials, and choose the marketplaces where you sell.
- Check that your product references exactly match your Amazon listings, since orders are matched on this reference.
- Test the connection before the first import.
- Import the orders, then confirm shipments once deliveries have been validated with their tracking number and a carrier name that Amazon recognises (Chronopost, Colissimo, DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS); a name it does not recognise makes the confirmation fail and leaves the order showing as late at Amazon.
- Leave the scheduled tasks switched off at first, get used to the manual buttons, then switch them on once you are confident.
What the application does not do
- It does not handle orders fulfilled by Amazon itself, or their returns.
- It does not create listings or synchronise product sheets: it updates listings that already exist.
- It does not reconcile the payments made by Amazon.
Getting started
Prepare your Amazon Seller Central access credentials, check that your product references match your Amazon listings, and choose the price list that will be published on your listings. Also decide which products should be synchronised with Amazon: only the ones you tick will have their stock and price updated on your listings, while the others continue to be managed exactly as before.
