In Odoo Community

Scrap is declared from the manufacturing order or from inventory. It moves the quantity to a scrap location and can carry one or more reasons.

Making the information usable

  • A short list of reasons operators understand.
  • The lot and operation concerned, when known.
  • A regular review of the costliest reasons.

Limits

Reasons do not replace a root-cause analysis: they show where to look. Handling a structured non-conformity falls under the Quality app, provided with an Odoo Enterprise licence.
